Clarify

1. The Short Version (Plain English)

Your letters stay private: When you take a picture of a letter, we do not save it on our servers. It stays on your phone.

We use AI to read for you: We send the picture securely to a smart computer (Google Gemini) just to read it and explain it to you. Google does not use your private letters to train their public AI models.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

2. Information We Collect and How We Use It

Camera and Images: We ask for permission to use your camera. The photos you take of your documents are used strictly to generate a summary and advice. We do not store these images on our servers.

App Usage Data: We keep track of how many times you scan a document each day to manage your daily limits (Free vs. Premium tier).

Payment Information: If you buy a subscription, your payment is handled safely by Apple or Google. We do not see or store your credit card details.

3. Third-Party Services We Use

To make the app work, we use a few trusted services:

  • Google Gemini (AI): We use this to read and explain your documents. Because we use their secure developer system, your documents are not used to train their AI.
  • Google AdMob: If you use the Free version of the app, we use AdMob to show you advertisements. AdMob may collect some basic device information to show these ads.
  • RevenueCat: We use this to safely manage your subscription if you choose the Premium tier.
  • Firebase: We use this to keep the app secure and remember how many scans you have left today.

4. How Long We Keep Your Data

Since your document images and history are saved directly on your own phone, you are in control. If you delete the Clarify app from your phone, your scanned history is deleted with it.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

Because we operate under European Union laws, you have the right to know what data we have, ask us to delete it, or ask questions about it. Since we do not store your documents online, there is no central database of your letters to delete—you can simply delete the app.
